Trauma. PTSD. We hear those terms often, but what do they really mean? Understanding Trauma is a creative offering that removes the confusion and stigma around the physical, emotional, and social impacts of Trauma-- and identifies the basic elements of healing. Through touching images, stories, music, and simplified educational explanations, it sensitively addresses a complex topic. This film creates awareness that can lead to new compassion, self-kindness, and hope. Understanding Trauma has been written and produced by Teresa Waters, Registered Clinical Counsellor on Saltspring; in collaboration with Bill Warriner, videographer and editor.
